1. As a pressure relief valve: when the pressure relief/pressure holding pilot valve is adjusted to the pressure relief state, the water flows through the needle valve, the main valve control chamber, the ball valve A, the pressure relief/pressure holding pilot valve, and the ball valve B to the outlet. The main valve is open. When the inlet pressure exceeds the safe value set by the pressure relief/pressure holding pilot valve, the pressure relief pilot valve will automatically open, and part of the water is discharged through the ball valve C to relieve the pressure of the pipeline. The pressure relief valve automatically closes when the pressure returns to a safe value. When the pressure relief valve is used, each ball valve is normally open.

2. As the holding pressure valve: When the pressure relief/pressure holding pilot valve is adjusted to the holding pressure state, the pilot valve is closed as long as the main valve inlet water pressure is lower than the pilot valve setting value. The main control room is boosted and the main valve is closed. When the upstream supply pressure of the main valve exceeds the set pressure of the pilot valve, the holding pilot valve can be opened, the water in the control chamber is discharged to the outlet through the ball valve, and the main valve of the control chamber is opened, and the water supply is started, that is, the upstream water pressure is maintained. When used as a pressure holding valve, the ball valve C is normally closed or replaced with a wire plug.
